Worship services

Worship is held each Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. Most Sundays there is a mixture of prayers, scripture reading, sermon and hymns. Word to Young Worshipers is offered early in the service for those 5th grade and under.

The fourth Sunday of each month there is an alternative/contemporary worship service. It includes a more casual atmosphere. We sing praise songs, have a short video clip, and have an interactive sermon, where people may offer their own insights or simply listen to others.

The Sunday Morning Worship Services are live streamed on Facebook (Peace UCC) and a recording is available by mid-week on our website.

We celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion the first Sunday of the month. Most of the time we observe communion in the pews. On special occasions, worshippers are invited to come forward for continuous communion. We practice an open table, meaning that all people present are welcome to receive the bread and the grape juice.

On Thanksgiving Eve and during Holy Week the three Waldo Churches (Waldo United Methodist, St. Paul’s Lutheran and our congregation) gather for Community Worship Services at 7 p.m.. On Easter, there is also a Sunrise Service at 7 a.m.. The services rotate locations. Watch the calendar for which church is hosting that particular time.
